Engineers Week

EWeek is a nationally recognized event that occurs during last full week in February, every year to celebrate engineering. The dates for the 2009 EWeek are the 15-21 of February. Engineering Tribunal is in charge of organizing events and activities; both for teams and individually, that take place throughout the week. The hallmark event is the semi-formal banquet that happens on the Saturday at the end of the week.

Events:

The Date Auction will be held February 20, 2009 at the Holy Grail. Doors Open at 9:00 pm, the auction begins at 10:00 pm. This event is open to all students.

$5.00 Cover (Goes directly to Relay for Life)

All Relay teams can register ahead of time with the Engineering Tribunal so that your $5 cover at the door goes directly back to your Relay team. If your group brings 5 members to the event, 40% of your cover gets kicked to your team. If you bring 10, its 50%, fifteen and you get 80%, and if your group brings 20 people, 100% of your cover goes directly to your registered Relay for Life team. The only requirement is that one team member is signed up to be auctioned off.

The Engineering Semi-Formal Banquet will be Saturday, February 21st at Paul Brown Stadium Club West, with doors open at 7:00 and dinner at 8:00. Awards will be presented at 9:00.   There will be an open bar, catered dinner, cool music, even cooler dancing, and buses to and from campus last until midnight. Tickets will be on-sale on weekdays from 10:30 to 1:30 in Baldwin Lobby as well as in the Tribunal office (652 Baldwin) until Wednesday, Febuary 18.

Ticket Prices:

Students under 21: $25.00

Students over 21: $30.00

Faculty, staff, sponsors, alumni, and others: $50.00

Bus schedule:

Buses will leave the Alumni Center parking lot at:
6:45 (3 buses)
7:00 (1 bus)
7:30 (3 buses)
7:45 (1 bus)

Buses will leave Paul Brown Stadium at:
11:00 (1 bus)
11:15 (1 bus)
11:20 (1 bus)
12:00 (4 buses)

Students attending this event will be required to use bus transportation.
